Why is Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy called the Appointed Son of God?

Everything in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ including the salvation of humankind it delivers, and the calling given to the Appointed Son of God is a gift; it is a calling from the Almighty Father.

The Appointed Son could be anyone of us

An Appointed Son can be anyone of us. The process of selecting the heir took many years but they rejected Him. Instead of following the words of the Father, they invented their own doctrines, traditions and by-laws, setting aside the real commandments of God (Mk 7:6-8), until one man was chosen in our generation when the Father’s hand of appointment came upon the life of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, and he did not fail Him.

He gave Pastor Apollo the opportunity to become the Appointed Son of God by calling him. He heard the Father’s voice and he completed the course of enlightenment by revelations that the Father had supplied. Revelation 21:7 is now fulfilled in his life. He chose Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and he did not disappoint the Father through his freedom of choice. He was able to overcome the serpent seed until his will is solidified in only obeying the Will of the Father. That is why Pastor Apollo’s message is coherent from the beginning to the end.

The Calling of the Appointed Son as a Young Boy

Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy recalled that it never crossed his mind that he is going to be called. He heard, when he was growing up, some stories that he said were fantastic in his ears. When they sat on a table for dinner, sometimes he can hear these stories swirling around the table. His mother would always tell his father, “What was that vision I saw when my youngest son was born? I saw a vision or something like God in a form of a cloud, so white and then I heard a voice. That voice said, ‘That’s my Son.’” He heard these stories when he was growing up. At 7 years old, he was already hearing them.

But just like Moses and Paul, the Apostle, who were called during their times, Pastor Apollo did not know that there was also a purpose in his life.

The Vision of the Great Pandemonium

His calling came as early as when he was 14 years old in high school. He saw a vision that told him, “If you will seek me, you will find me in my way.” He also saw a vision of what was happening in these last days in the world today. It was a vision of worldwide destruction, worldwide panic and worldwide chaos.

First, it was a localized one, because he was in Parang, Cotabato where his house was located. In front of it was a big gasoline depot. In his first vision, he saw those gasoline depots explode and people were running everywhere trying to escape the inferno. Because his house was along the seashore, and in front of it were the big depots. People tried to escape by jumping to the sea. Even there, the gasoline came flowing followed by the fire. People that jumped into the water were also on fire. He saw that and there was no escape. It was really horrible to look at. It was pandemonium, panic and the people’s faces were not only horrified but that they were confused. They really did not know what to do. They had no way of escape.

When Pastor Apollo woke up, he was trembling and he did not know the meaning of that. He thought it was just like an ordinary vision or dream, but he said that was an experience he could not forget.

That next night, it happened again. It was the same scene that he saw the previous night. But this time it was only worse, because it was on a global scale. Even the heavens were rolling in fire. The atmosphere was rolling in fire. It was terrifying to see. And down here, the same thing happened, but only on a global scale. People by the millions all over the world were running to and fro, trying to find an escape but they couldn’t.

In the midst of that, he saw this caption that he cannot forget. He had memorized it and did not know

that it was found in the Scriptures until the Father called him from his secular ambition of becoming somebody in the world. He was led

into the ministry, step-by-step, until he found himself in Bible School. That was when he found this verse. He memorized it from the caption in the second vision he had which has a similar scene. The caption said, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come.”

When he was studying the Bible, he found that verse in Acts 2:20. He was not a Bible reader and he did not know it. When he saw that, he was shocked, he prayed to the Lord. He asked Him what was the meaning of that dream or that vision he saw.

The Father was leading him to this revelation that he has today. Pastor Apollo soon found out he was in the midst of the Will of the Father and that this was really speaking of His second coming. This was going to be a very momentous time in his life, because he was going to be involved in it. This is what Acts 2:20 says, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come.” He cannot forget that.

“Gamiton ta Ka”: Leaving the Denomination

So step-by-step the Father led him into His Will. First, in the denomination Pastor Apollo belonged to in the Church Age. He did not know what plan the Father had for him but he found himself leaving the ambitions he had before. It was a secular ambition that just vanished like a bubble.

He was soon walking in a path that he did not expect and did not desire, but he was led there by the Father in the first part of his calling. He was in this denomination and he became an evangelist and toured all over the Philippines. He was later sent to Korea and was one of the delegates there in 1973.

That was when he heard the voice. The voice told him in Cebuano, “Gamiton ta ka (I will use you).” Pastor Apollo did not know at that time the Almighty Father will use him when He was already using him (since he’s already an evangelist then.)

That led to his search for where this Voice was coming from. He told his friends, his colleagues, and his friends in the denomination and they thought he was hallucinating; they told him that he’d been deceived. But it was very clear in his mind and in his heart because he was the one experiencing it.

Kitbog and Tamayong: The University of the Spirit

The leading of the Father, through visions, through dreams, revelations and Audible Voice led him into one mountain in the foothills of Mt. Matutum, to a place called Kitbog. There, the Father cleared all the doubts in his mind: that he was being deceived, that he was hallucinating and that he was losing his mind.

Finally, he found out that it was really the voice of the Father, who was calling him at that time. All the cobwebs of doubts were all erased one by one and he knew for a fact 100% that it was the Father calling him. He had to make a decision.

After he knew that the Almighty Father was the one calling him, all these visions, revelations, audible voices stopped just like that. The ball was now in his hands, whether to answer the call or not. He had the freedom of choice to go back to his denomination and continue his life with this denomination, which offered him everything and which loved him. It was upon his decision to do that using his freedom of choice. So he had to wait before he accepted the calling, which was a direct calling coming from the Father Almighty.

After deep prayer and deep meditation, and with the guidance of the Father, he realized eternity weighed so much in his life that he accepted the call. And he promised Him, “From now on, I will follow You. Your will be done in my life, not my will anymore”
The Test of Commitment, Loyalty and Dedication

After this, the Father led him again into another mountain in the foothills of Mt. Apo where Pastor Apollo was born, a place called Tamayong. For five years, he stayed there and all these revelations came to him. The experiences the Father gave him and the mission He has called him to do in the world today is clearly a message that comes from the Almighty Father and no one else.

He had not learned that from Bible College. No one taught him but he was the privileged one in these modern times to enter the School of the Spirit where the Father is only the instructor. When this school of the spirit opens, there is only one student at a time.

The Appointed Son: Third Student in the University of the Spirit

In modern times, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy was one that was called. He heard the Almighty Father’s voice just like Moses in the Old Testament and Paul the Apostle in the New Testament. The Father Almighty made him go to the School of the Spirit for six years in two mountains.

In all conditions, He tried him- in conditions of comfort and discomfort, he was persecuted and went through the fire. He was tempted in all points in his humanity. But he used his freedom of choice to follow the Almighty Father until he matured and Son Placement came into his life.

The Appointed Son followed the Father’s Will through his own freedom of choice until one day, he said, “My heart was fixed and my mind was made up in following Him, without condition. Father, You may put me on the side or on the throne. You may put me in the restroom. You may make me as your doormat. Nothing would stop me from following You, as long as I am in Your Will. Nothing could now keep me from following the Father’s will, not Satan, not the serpent seed that wanted to come back.”
When did Pastor Apollo become the Appointed Son?
Then Son Placement came to him. He heard the Father’s voice again, and the voice of the Father said, “Now you are my Son” that means the Father delivered the Sonship to His Appointed Son. That is when he became an Appointed Son.

Note that as soon as the Appointed Son was chosen, Jesus Christ ceased to be the Begotten Son. He now sits on the position of the Almighty Father while the Son will be the inheritor and the heir of the Father.

He was able to produce a Son out of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy in fulfillment of Revelation 21:7 which says, “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son.”

The “He” there is a qualifying noun. That means the heir could be anyone from the fallen Adamic race. So He called the catholic body and those that followed after that.

What is the condition to become an Appointed Son?

To become an Appointed Son is to be the fulfillment of the Scriptures. And to be the fulfillment of the Scriptures, we will become born of the spirit. When we are born of the spirit, we repent. When we repent, we are circumcised by heart.

Repentance is surrendering our human will, surrendering our being a small god. When that small “g” within us is still there and is touched, we will resist everything and fight against everyone. There is always a fight within us between the small g and the big G. We always resist the Will of the Father. But Jesus Christ is our model and example. He was looking for one of the descendants of the fallen Adamic race to become a Son on the condition that he will be the fulfillment of the Scriptures.

Why has the Appointed Son of God only come now?

Before the ministry of Pastor Apollo came, the leaders of religions and denominations were also called, but they did not finish. They started to fade along the way; they stopped somewhere. The religions and denominations were not able to receive the full and complete enlightenment and revelations that they should have received. If they have finished it, one of them should have been talking right now. But none of them finished it.

Pastor Apollo was also called, but he did not fade along the way. He continued following the Father. In the mid of his calling where understanding and knowledge of His Will became larger in his life, another temptation came to derail him in following the Father, but he continued. He said, “Father, I will continue to follow you.”

If God were going to appoint a Son in these last days, why is it not written in the Scriptures? Why was it not prophesied? God could have mentioned it as a sign of His second coming. Why didn’t He?

As the Appointed Son has said, the Father is not dumb. The Father is the God of wisdom. He is wise. If there was even just a hint that said, “An Appointed Son will arise.” You can just imagine, from the east to the west, from the north to the south, many will be saying, “I am that Appointed Son.” He only said, “Thou art Peter upon this rock I will build my church and even the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18)

How many churches are born each day? Until this moment, there are already 4,500 churches that claim that they are the one spoken of by Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:18.

Imagine, if He is made mention of one Appointed Son, millions will come out and they will claim they are the Appointed Son. So the Father is very wise. He will not reveal that unless an appointed time will come. That is how wise the Father is.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10

(9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
(10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

If you are asking of why the role of an Appointed Son is not in the bible, if you will able to read that, the Scriptures will not be fulfilled. “Eye hath not seen”, means you will not able to read it. “Neither has it entered into the heart of man”. If somebody prophesied about it or if somebody made the hint and preached about it, you would have heard it and you would expecting it. You did not. You did not even think about it.

Why is there a Need for an Appointed Son?

The Spiritual Etymology

In order to answer this question and get a wider perspective of deep, spiritual things, it will be wise if we go back to the history of Creation- why did God create man?

Adam: The Created Son

The first created son was Adam. Adam was as special, because the Father created him with His own hands. This was significant, because he was going to be the Father’s dwelling place here on the earth. He was given a woman, called Eve. The serpent tempted Eve and the serpent changed all that, because the serpent deceived her.

The serpent told her, “Did God say you will die? You will not surely die; but, you will become gods like Him knowing good and evil.” So their consciousness was opened as soon as they disobeyed the Words of the Father. They died spiritually in His presence, because of disobedience.

They did not know that there was a spiritual implication of that disobedience. The serpent seed or the seed of the serpent now was implanted within them. It is the spirit of disobedience to His Will. Because of that, they became children of the devil without them knowing it. They used their own freedom of choice in their infancy to disobey the Words of the Father and to obey the voice of the serpent or Satan Lucifer the devil coming to the serpent.

By that act of disobedience, they were separated in the Garden of Eden, which was God’s heaven on the earth. And instead he becoming the temple of God, Adam became the temple or the synagogue of the seed of the devil without him knowing it. That is why he was lost and he needs to be saved.

Adam would be His dwelling place and the place he was going to tend was the Garden of Eden, where you can exist without laboring. You will only tend the Garden and everything was free and the Father Almighty supplied everything.

No one could save him. Men propagated upon the earth. Our will was overridden by our interpretation of what is good and evil, because like what the devil said, we became gods, little gods to ourselves, obeying our own will, separated from the Will of the Father.

They now become gods unto themselves. They propagated, became cities populated by people, became nations. All that were born of the flesh, who all inherited the serpent seed from Adam and Eve, they did not know that it was the devil ruling his world, that they need salvation. It is a spiritual salvation that they need, salvation from the serpent seed. They need to come back to that original plan.

Who would let them come back to the will of the Father?

Nobody was qualified. That is why religion would attempt to do that, but they cannot. Man tried to come back to God by creating a tower of Babel. They were going to come up to God, knock on his door by their own power and ability. God did not like it. He confused them. That is why they were scattered all abroad and they could not understand each other anymore.

This is the reason why He created a salvation of His own, because man cannot extricate himself from that. There is a power holding him so he cannot overcome. It is a spiritual power of darkness of Satan Lucifer the devil.

Because of that, the Father did not give up on us. He did not leave us in the hands of Satan. For a while we were in darkness, but the Father did not give up on us. He created the plan of salvation.

The Calling of Noah

This plan of salvation started with the calling of Noah. Noah was also a descendant of the fallen Adamic race. The wheels of salvation started to roll. Noah heard the voice of God, because there was a plan of salvation. The Father began to deal with man again through Noah. He was commanded to build an ark. He built an ark. Then after 120 years, the judgment came because of wickedness and sin wrought by the serpent seed that was already in man. Then, He preserved the family of Noah including two of all kinds of animals.

The Calling of the Patriarchs

After that, the family of Noah propagated again. Then, we heard the voice of God again through the calling of Abraham. Out of Abraham was born Isaac. Isaac became the son of promise. Through Isaac, Jacob was born. Jacob became the twelve tribes of Israel. That is when the Father continued to deal with humankind through the first chosen people, the Jewish people. He let them know that He was interested in them. That is why the Jewish Age was born.

The Jewish Age

The Jewish Age was all about saving man. This was the beginning of the role of saving man. There was a plan and this plan was also known by Paul in his calling.

Man in his infancy used his own freedom of choice to disobey. Because of that, we inherited sin.

Romans 5:12

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

All have sinned and we need salvation. We inherited the sin of the first created son, Adam. We are sons of the devil without knowing it, because his seed was implanted within us first before we could be called sons of God. Man was only a son of God by flesh. He should be a son of God in spirit. The devil overtook the Father’s plan and aborted it. Man is a son of the devil in the spirit but outside you can look at him as a real creation of the Father. But that does not mean that within him is the spirit of God, because, instead of the spirit of God, it is the spirit of the devil that was in him.

Again, let’s go back to the question. Why is there a need for an Appointed Son of God?

Romans 5:19

“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”

So, He is not going to use one big group. He is going to use and call one man at a time, because the Father’s masterpiece, which is Adam, fell into sin and was separated from the fellowship and communion with Him.

We heard those stories of the Jewish Age, how the Jewish nation was dealt with by the Father at that time. He sent them Moses. He sent them prophets. Major and minor prophets were sent to them to let them know about the Will of the Father in extricating them from the spiritual bondage of the serpent seed.

But why did the Jewish Age people not able to produce a Son?

They listened to Moses but they stopped listening to others who would be able to complete their works of salvation. Yet, it was only the first installment. After that, they were sent Major Prophets to let them grow into spiritual maturity in receiving all the promises of the Father that were being fulfilled in their lives. If they would accept the prophets, the fallen Adamic race would produce a Son like Jesus Christ.

But they stopped there. They didn’t want to receive any more revelations when prophets were sent, instead they stoned the prophets to death. They killed them. They drove them out of their cities. They didn’t want them to listen to Him anymore.

The Reason why the Begotten Son was Sent on Earth

But because of the Father’s compassion, He sent them His Begotten Son. The Begotten Son was the model to the Jewish nation of how the Father wanted man to become like Him.

He was sent there so He could present Himself as the model. The mission of the Begotten Son was to redeem (to redeem means to take back what had been lost, to take back what had been taken away from us.) The Kingship and the Sonship.

This is what the Jewish nation did not understand. They thought that He was there to extricate them from physical bondage as Moses did. That was why they were asking for a sign.

“Moses gave us a sign,” they said to Jesus Christ, the Begotten Son. “What sign can you give us?” He answered, “There will be no sign to be given to this simple adulterous generation but the sign of Jonas, who was stayed in the belly for three nights and three days. After three days you will see the Son of man rising from the grave.”

But they did not understand it because they thought that the savior that came and saved them would be like a Great King that will vanquish all their enemies physically, and then restore the Kingdom. They did not know that it was the spiritual thread of salvation that the Father created from the beginning to extricate us from spiritual bondage, not physical bondage, from Satan Lucifer the devil.

Myth: God will live in the temple made by hands of man.
Fact: God will only dwell in the temple He made by His own hands.

The temple that Solomon created ceased to be the temple when the Begotten Son came. That was a temporary arrangement form of worship. Now He is the temple of the Father. This is the new order of things. He phased out the temple made with hands style of worship and proclaimed the Son as the temple of the Father.

John 2:19-21

(19)Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
(20)Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
(21) But he spake of the temple of his body.

They did not know that He was speaking of a temple not made with hands of men but made by the hands of the Father. Now the Begotten Son is the temple of the Father.

The Same Satan Lucifer the devil tempted the Two Sons

Satan Lucifer the devil who visited in the first created Son, Adam, is the same Lucifer the devil who now visited Jesus Christ. As he tempted the first created son to take away everything from him, he now wants to tempt the Begotten Son to also thwart the plan of God, so he could be the savior and take back the Sonship and the Kingship that we had lost. He tried it but he failed as in the account of Luke 4:1-13.

Have you noticed that on this verse, he had the conversation with Jesus not in the form of a snake but he really presented himself as Satan Lucifer the Devil? The same temptation was made to the created son, Adam, but unlike him, the Begotten Son resisted the temptation of Satan.

Satan knew the ministry and mission of the Begotten Son was to take away all that he has taken from Adam and Eve. That was the Sonship and the Kingship.

Jesus Christ gave the devil a big knock out at that time. Because He did not succumb to that temptation, He was able to take it back by paying it with His own life and pouring his own blood.

The devil knew that that was the greatest task that He had to face. He did not give up on Him. When He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, there was His flesh nagging Him. “Forget about the sacrifice you have to make. All you have to do is you just bow down to me.”

Myth: The Begotten Son overcame the trials because He is Divine
Fact: Jesus Christ felt that in himself as a human being.

But he said, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42)

He prayed three times for the flesh was His human side. He felt these temptations were very, very heavy on Him. He prayed, but because He was the Begotten Son of God under the will of the Father, He gave us an example, “Let this cup pass from me. Please give me the Sonship and the Kingship. Fulfill my mission without me going up to the cross.”

But the Father’s Will was that He had to be sacrificed. He had to pour out His life to prove to all the spiritual witnesses both devils and angels, that He was willing to go to that extent, to prove His loyalty to His mission, which is to please the Father. And He did.

The Begotten Son came with mission of the redemption to take back the Sonship and the Kingship, which Adam lost.

John 4:34

(34)Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

The will of the Father in His mission is to do His will and finish His work. That will is to take back the Sonship and Kingship from the hands of Satan as the Redeemer.

This all happened in the spiritual realm. If you look at this in the physical realm, it is all normal. But spiritually, it was a big spiritual battle; if our Father the Begotten Son Jesus Christ had lost that battle, we will not be here talking about it today.

So, He paid the price and let the Will of the Father be done. He went to the cross and he drank the bitter cup. He said in John 19:30, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
What was finished was the work of redemption, the work of redeeming, the work of taking back the Sonship and the Kingship from the hands of Satan Lucifer the devil.

From that time on, Satan Lucifer the devil was powerless. That is why Jesus Christ was able to say, “All power in heaven and earth is given unto me.” It’ was now in His hands.

Myth: Salvation ended the moment the Begotten Son paid the price in the cross.
Fact: Salvation did not stop there. Isaiah 53:10 had to be fulfilled.

Isaiah 53:10

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”

What is that seed? The seed is the spirit of disobedience to the Father’s Will coming into the fallen Adamic race. The Sonship and the Kingship must now be delivered back right now to the rightful heir. Adam is the rightful heir.

Myth: Salvation is automatically given in the hands of the people.
Fact: Unless the Father can find a Son whom He could trust, salvation is not yet completed.

Adam is not present anymore, but his descendants are here. Any of us is qualified in this instance to receive what the Father would give back to us, because we are the rightful heirs of that. Unless He can find a Son He could trust, so He could give it back to him.

So He called the Jewish people; but they did not finish His work of salvation and redemption. They did not want to hear from the Father anymore. They drove Him away. Although messengers were sent by the Father, they did not receive it.

Myth: Religions and Denominations, product of salvation
Fact: The Son, the product of salvation.

In the Church Age, body after body was called to be enlightened. For once they were enlightened; the Father in Heaven could give back the Sonship and the Kingship to them. But they did not finish the work of enlightenment. They stopped receiving the Words of revelation from the Father and they were contented in their traditions. They became religions and denominations, but they never produced a Son.

They failed to produce a Son, who could be entrusted by the Father to receive the Sonship and the Kingship. Until the Father’s hands of appointment came to Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy who have overcame all the testing and trial that tried to weaken his resolve, until he heard a Voice saying, “Now you are my Son.”

Why is there a need for an Appointed Son? What is his difference from the Begotten Son?

The Almighty Father begot Jesus Christ. This makes Him the Son of God. His mother is Mary, a human being. This makes Him the Son of man. His mission is redemption.

The Appointed Son of God physically is a human both of whose parents are human beings. If one of our parents is not a human being, we are not qualified to become an Appointed Son. We wouldn’t need salvation. Only those that need salvation can qualify as an Appointed Son.

Now, the mission and the ministry of the Appointed Son is to become His spokesperson, His audible voice, so that He could produce more sons and daughters to come into the Kingdom of heaven on earth. He is the Father’s second coming. The rapture is taking place as he speaks today.

In September 13, 2003, Son placement was completed when the Father announced Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy to the whole world as His Appointed Son. Now it is not only him that knows that he is the Appointed Son of God, but all of us and the whole world.

Hebrews 1:1-2

(1)God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
(2)Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

If we want to ask about the Son, we ask the Father. If we want to know about the Father, ask the Son. The completion of the Father’s work of salvation is the reason why there is a Son.
